This program is designed to help you understand what you need to do in the event of a building evacuation being required. It emphasizes the need for an overall Emergency Evacuation Plan.
The course provides the regulatory framework for building evacuations and a practical step by step guide to understanding the importance of Building Evacuation Diagrams, the significance of Emergency Assembly Areas and the roles of the various Wardens you will find in these buildings.
The program also covers what should happen if someone you work with suffers a heart attack or some other medical emergency, the importance of having a Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan or PEEP for anyone with a disability and what you do in the unlikely event of a serious earthquake occurring at work.
The course ends with a step by step action plan to be used if an evacuation of the building is required and a recap of the information provided in the program.
The program is followed by a quiz which requires a pass mark of 80% to be considered competent.
